After graduating from The Hockaday School in Dallas, Melinda left home to attend Hamilton College in Clinton, New York. Graduating with a major in government and a minor in math, Melinda went to Lake Placid, New York to teach high school. Melinda finally accepted her "calling" and happily attended Fordham Law School in New York City, graduating in 2000.
Melinda began her practice in Syracuse, New York where she worked on litigation, bankruptcy, and corporate matters. In 2003, she and her husband moved to Dallas and Melinda joined the Hartnett Law Firm.
Melinda is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers 2003 Leadership Class, and the New York State Bar Association.
